We don’t just camp, we seek out adventure. From canoeing to rope courses, from mountains to the keys, Troop 261 goes all over for adventure.

As part of the program, we encourage Scouts to come up with their own bucket lists and goals. We guide them in planning and funding their way.

Lead

 Both our Boy and Girl Troops are youth lead. They have amazing successes and the occasional flop and fiasco, which is all part of the learning experience.

Adult leaders with over 200 years of combined Scouting experience provide guidance and ensure their safety.

Serve

With 3 brand new Eagle Scouts graduating out of the program and heading off to college, we’ve done a number of service projects to improve our community this summer alone.

We regularly support the community through service projects such as Scouting for Food, beach cleanups, CareFest, and veteran memorials.

Our Leaders

Founded in 1998, Troop 261 has ~25 registered Scouts between both the boy and girl Troops. They have independent youth leadership, but do everything together.

Troop & Pack 261 has been recognized as a Journey to Excellence (JTE) Gold Troop for ages. Pack 261 Cub Scouts grow up and into Troop 261 seamlessly.
