Typical weekend schedule for the Troop:
- Friday at 5pm, feed your Scout a full meal
- Friday at 6pm, meet at the back parking lot of Riviera United Methodist Church (RUMC)
- Friday at 6:30pm, help caravan to the camping site as some parents need to help with travel
- Friday night through Sunday morning Scouts are on adventure
- Friday night through Sunday morning parent/guardians monitor Facebook for updates and stay local in case of emergencies (bad weather, stomach bugs, etc)
- Sunday at 9:30am parent/guardians collect at RUMC
- Sunday at ~9:30am Scouts return to the same back parking lot at the church
- Sunday at ~9:30am Scouts unload Troop gear, clean coolers, and clean trailer
- Sunday at ~9:45am Scouts released
Packing List
- 2 man tent, standard or hammock style Example
- Backpack or bag
- Mess kit (wash bag, dish, spork, cup) Example
- 1 Water bottle, Nalgene recommended, full Example
- Sleeping bag OR blanket
- Air mattress (optional)
- Pillow (optional)
- Flash light OR headlamp (turn it on and off before you pack it) Example
- Sunscreen & bugspray
- Toiletries: toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, shampoo
- Camp towel Example
- Shower shoes / water shoes (Keens, Crocs, or Example)
- Rain jacket (optional, check weather)
- Swim clothes
- Hat
- Closed toe shoes, either sneakers or hiking boots (your Scout should be wearing them to the campout)
- 2 pair socks
- 2 pair underwear
- 1 or 2 change of clothes
- Class A uniform shirt
- Scoutbook w/ pen
- Prescription meds (as needed)
- Locking pocketknife (optional, must have Totin’ Chip to carry pocketknife)
- Book or E-reader (optional)

- Trekking poles Example

What NOT to bring
- Open toe shoes for regular wear
